PE Kit Expecation
In Physical Education it is a requirement that all students have a suitable sports kit that they can wear to enable them to access the curriculum and to participate to the best of their ability.
I am writing to you to remind you of the PE kit expectations at Prince William School. Your son/daughter’s PE kit should consist of the following items: Skort (girls) or shorts (boys), T-shirt, Football socks, Fleece (optional), Rugby top, trainers (not vans and/or converse) and studded boots. We highly recommend that your son/daughter wears a mouth guard (gum shield) for Rugby and Hockey and shin pads for Hockey and Football. Mouth guards can be purchased from the school finance office for £1.50.
From September to April your son/daughter is allowed to wear black skins/thermals underneath their PE kit for extra warmth.
If a student attends a lesson without the correct equipment, they will still take part and can borrow spare PE kit. If your son/ daughter is unable to participate in the lesson due to illness or injury, it is an expectation that they attend the lesson with a note and they will still be expected to get changed into their kit unless this is not possible. They will be expected to take part by scoring, refereeing or coaching as appropriate. Please feel free to contact any member of the PE department if you would like further guidance on the requirements for our PE kit.
For updates on fixtures and sporting success you can now follow us on twitter: @SportPWS. The school website also has information on fixtures. Your son/daughter will be given a fixture card if they have been selected for a team.
