Ski Trip 2016
Prince William Shool students visit Claviere.
During February half term 40 students from Prince William School visited the Italian resort of Claviere for a fantastic week of Ski. Thanks to an enviable location on the Italian side of the Milky Way, Claviere has always been regarded as one of Italy’s best-loved ski resorts providing access to a wide variety of perfect piste. This is a traditional resort and with easy access from a choice of airports, the transfer time from Turin is just under 2 hours.
The resort of Claviere is known as one of the Milky Way’s more lively resorts offering groups a range of après-ski options. During the week we all receive the full Milky Way pass with access to over 400kms of snow-sure slopes offering a host of pistes to suit all levels. The students had 6 hours of Ski School lessons with highly-rated English speaking instructors. The resort catered for all abilities within the group especially skiers looking for a bit more of a challenge, with tree-lined slopes at Moncrons. The more experienced skiers in our group got the chance to make the trip over to Sestriere where they can took on the legendary Kandahar Slalom and Kandahar Banchetta runs.
The lively resort of Claviere is well-known for both its hospitality and reasonable prices. The students had the opportunity to visit authentic pizzerias to open-air ice skating, the resort provided a truly traditional après experience. Please click here to see pictures from the trip.
