Bus incident update
On Thursday afternoon (14th July) there was a road traffic incident involving a school transport bus operated by Rodgers Coaches. The Police are investigating the incident.
All children involved have been and are being cared for. Most of the nine children transferred to hospital have been released to home and some have been in school today.
There were 57 students from Prince William School on the bus, along with pupils from Oundle Primary School.
This morning, all pupils have attended assemblies to reassure them about events and to offer support. Counselling and support is being provided by NCC Education Psychology Service and Service Six.
Students are currently following their normal timetable and routines.
If parents and carers require further information about talking to children about the incident, we have posted a leaflet provided by NCC on the school website.
The Trust is in communication with NCC and a statement from their Transport team is expected on Monday.
We have attached a leaflet produced by Northampton County Council that outlines support strategies that parents and carers can provide following a traumatic experience.
