TRIPS & VISITS

Participating in trips and visits can have a significant role in supporting the work done within the classroom. Such opportunities also allow students to experience situations and environments that may be unfamiliar to them, supporting their own personal growth and development. These trips and visits can be residential in nature and may involve overseas travel. They often offer challenge for students and may put them out of their comfort zone, meeting new people and experiences new cultures.

We are proud to take our students away and value the time and effort put in by the staff involved in planning and running such opportunities.

There is always a balance to be struck between offering a large number of trips and visits and the impact that this can have on curriculum time being lost, and on Parents / Carers pockets. Prince William works hard to provide a balanced programme of trips and visits that meet the needs of the curriculum, and also provides an equality of access for all students. We believe that no student should miss out on the opportunity for participating in any trip or visits due to financial constraints. We would therefore encourage any student who feels that they need support with accessing these opportunities to contact the school for further guidance.

Curriculum based visits and trips

These range from a day to seven days in length and have clear aims linked to the curriculum being followed. Whilst most trips and visits are single subject specific, many subjects join together to meet the needs of both courses being studied.
