We are seeking to employ, from January 2020, an enthusiastic teacher of Maths to join our team of dedicated Maths teachers. The successful applicant will be able to teach Maths up to GCSE, and there may be an opportunity to teach A level if desired.
Prince William School is located in Oundle, within easy commuting distance of Peterborough, Stamford, Kettering, Huntingdon, Wellingborough, and Corby. If an NQT is appointed, they will benefit from the support of a mentor who is a Maths teacher, as well as the supervision of a member of the Senior Leadership team with responsibility for Teaching and Learning.
This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding. In 2019, 72% of our KS4 cohort achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, and 52% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths. According to the early data from FFT Aspire, our Progress 8 score was +0.21, and the gap between disadvantaged and other students closed significantly for the second successive year, with the Progress 8 score for Free School Meals Ever 6
students being +0.04. In KS5, we achieved 56% A* - B and 79% A* - C, an average grade of B- and a positive progress measure.
