Fundraising for CRYPosted on: 11/03/2019
Steve Harvey – My Story
On the 28th April this year I will be trying to complete the London Marathon. This date is 2 years to the day since the sad and sudden loss of Benji Walker. Benji was a 15 year old student who sadly passed away whilst I was acting Headteacher at Prince William School, Oundle. During the period of time after his death I was extremely privileged to get to know Nicola and Andy (Benji's parents), whose strength and dignity will stay with me forever. I will therefore be running for CRY, a charity who have supported the Walker family and whose work is aimed at supporting those who have to deal with such a tragedy. They also carry out important screening work and research to try and help stop the 12 young people a week who die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Benji was a fantastic sportsman and I hope I can do him proud! If I can ask for your support for this important charity - any amount will be welcome. Please click on the link below to access my fundraising page. Can I also ask that those of you in the Oundle/Thrapston area share and promote this to others to help me raise as much as possible in his honour.
Thank you for your support.
