Performing Arts: BTEC Level 3
Our Performing Arts Course is for performers who have a serious interest in developing a wide and marketable range of performance skills. The course combines major performance areas of Acting, Voice and Movement. The course is split in to a range of units that cover all aspects of performance and becoming a performer within the industry.
Lessons aim to cover a wide range of theatrical/dance styles as well as theatrical/dance styles of various time periods. You will have the opportunity to develop both your vocal and physical skills through a variation of technique classes and workshops and you will be given regular opportunities to perform to the public in a professional theatre setting. You will learn about the Performing Arts Business, how to make a professional CV and receive careers advice and audition tips from industry professionals. You will take part in projects such as touring to local schools and writing, directing and producing your own work. During each year, there are many opportunities to see live performance work given by other students and professional work in regional and national venues.
